Privacy Policy
Effective September 27, 2026
FretList is a chord-chart and setlist workspace for musicians. It is free, ad-free, and does not sell or share your data with anyone. This page explains what FretList stores and why.
What we store
- Account details. Your email address, and — if you sign in with Google — your Google account's name and profile picture. Email/password accounts store a hashed password, never the password itself.
- Your content. The songs, setlists, shows, and settings you create, stored in our database so they're available on any device you sign in from.
- Share links. When you share a setlist, the link, its optional password (hashed), and any notes recipients leave are stored so the share works.
Cookies and local storage
FretList uses a session cookie to keep you signed in, a short-lived cookie to secure Google sign-in, and your browser's local storage for preferences like theme and recent chords. There are no advertising or analytics trackers.
Third-party services
- Google — used only for "Continue with Google" sign-in.
- Hostinger & Supabase — host the application and its database.
- LRCLIB (lrclib.net) — queried from your browser when you search lyrics.
- YouTube, SoundCloud, Dropbox — load audio you attach to a song, only on that song's page.
- Anthropic — only if you use the optional AI composer; the sketch text you submit is sent for processing and is not used to train models.
Your data, your call
You can export a full backup of your library at any time from the user menu inside the app. To have your account and everything in it deleted, email humanv3@gmail.com and we'll take care of it.
